Disabling Fast Startup in Windows The Quick Start feature in Windows is designed to speed up booting after shutdown. However, problems can also be associated with it: PC does not shut down completely, hardware stops working and others. In such situations, you can try to disable the function. To do that, open the Control Panel and go to the Power section. On the left side, click Power Button Actions, and then Change settings that are not available right now. After that, uncheck Enable Fast Startup.
