Google Chrome has a built-in antivirus that uses ESET technologies to check files that interfere with the browser.

To activate it, you need:

 Go to Settings.

 Go down and click "Advanced".

 Scroll to the end again and click "Remove malware from computer".

 Click the "Find" button.

No progress is displayed during the scan. You have to wait for a notification of completion. The scan itself runs periodically in the background of the browser.
